Senior High Programs & Events
While we have programs and events for 6th-12th grade youth (typically our large, overnight events), we also have a set of programs for just senior high (9th-12th grade) youth that focus more intensely on issues surrounding injustices, service, peer relationships, among others. Each program has a unique focus and each also has a deeper level of devotions designed with senior high youth in mind. From mission trips and service activities both near and far, to training events, to just having fun hanging out over an activity, Organic Youth’s senior high programs and events dive deeper into our motto of “Growing, Living, Reaching & Serving in God’s Love”!
Upcoming Senior High Programs
Green highlighted programs are active links and you can follow them for more info and registration. Those without highlighting will have their info posted within a month or two of their program date. Also: note that some of the senior high programs open up to 8th grade youth in the spring to give them a taste of what’s to come next year!Senior High Leadership Team

Training Retreat Friday-Sunday, November 18-20
Meetings & program leadership on various dates the rest of the year (8th grade welcome beginning in May)
If you have leadership skills, love Christ and the church, feel a call to grow in your leadership skills, and are willing to learn, train, plan and lead programs for your peers, plus serve those in need…then Organic Youth’s Leadership Team is for you!Sleepout for the Homeless
Friday-Saturday, September 23-24
NEW! This overnight sleep out is just that: sleeping outdoors in downtown Buffalo under the (hopefully) stars to support the Buffalo City Mission. We’ll hear from them about their role in homelessness. We’ll also reflect on our privilege and role in the system of poverty. Throw in some great games, activities and food, and this will be a great night!Buffalo Mission Trip
Friday-Sunday, January 13-15
“The time is always right to do something right” -Rev. Martin Luther King, Jr.
This has become one popular weekend urban immersion! From our “home” at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church in downtown Buffalo, we’ll venture out to a side of the city we rarely see, and work to make a difference in the lives of those in poverty, and the hungry on the streets. We worship on Sunday morning, and in the evenings we play, reflect on what we experienced, pray, and more. See a recap and pictures from this event.
Sunday, January 29
An afternoon at Canalside for skating and winter fun, then we return to Holy Trinity Lutheran Church just up Main St. to warm up over cocoa and devotions.
Friday-Saturday, February 3-4
8th-12th grades welcome
How do we as youth welcome peers, build meaningful relationships, and even help our peers who may be hurting or struggling? This Peer Ministry Retreat is a fun, Friday night-Saturday afternoon of learning the skills through interactions to walk with others through all of this.Niagara Falls Mission Trip
Friday-Sunday, April 7-9
8th-12th grades welcome
Just beyond the “tourist” areas of the state park, Rainbow Bridge, and casino, lies the “real” Niagara Falls: a place that’s struggling, run-down, and full of poverty. But: there are real people who live there with hopes, dreams, and something to offer. Similar to our Buffalo Mission Trip, we’ll venture out, get to know those that live there, and work with them to help tackle poverty.
